Female Accountant

Location : Qatar
An Established Firm is looking to hire an Experienced Female as an "Accountant" to join their team.

Candidate must be Fluent in English and must have strong Accounting experience.

Specific duties will vary considerably according to specific needs of the role and/or the Firm. These include but are not limited to:
  • Perform accounting operations based on accounting principles and Firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that statements and records comply with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and finalise financial statements as required.
  • Participate to the required level in computing taxes and preparing tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
  • Examine statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure receivables are collected in time.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close/reconciliation process.
  • Develop periodic reports for management.
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures.
  • Keep information confidential and secure them.
  • Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation.
  • Inspect account books and accounting systems to keep up to date.
  • Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits.
  • Organize and maintain financial records.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue invoices.
  • Compile and evaluate information needed to collect delinquent accounts; take action as per Firm’s Collection Policy and recommend best practice.
  • Keeping accurate records and reporting on collection activity as required.
  • The ability to maintain trustful relationships with clients, and ensure timely payments against dues.
  • Attend routine meetings when required to support the Firm to achieve its business objectives.
  • Maintaining good professional relationship within the Firm and externally.

Other Accountabilities:

 # Liaison with internal contacts within the Firm and external contacts.
# Working Conditions are normal for an office environment.
 # Work may require overtime working hours.

Job Competencies:

Education:
  • Degree in Accounting or its equivalent.
  • Experience
  • Proven working experience of 3-4 years as an Accountant preferably in Qatar.
  • Proven experience of 1-2 years with handling Collections or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficient User of Accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport at all levels.
  • Ability to exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness.
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills with a knack for negotiating.
  • Comfortable working with targets; self-motivated and driven.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience and ability to manage stress.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Must be available to join immediately or with limited notice period.
